Macro Handler Glossary

Concise canonical definitions of the terms you meet across product, runtime, Lua API, visual builder, and detection surfaces. A quick-reference for new users.

Product

Cloud Vault
A Premium space that keeps up to three private macro archives for the devices signed in with the same Google account. Each slot holds up to 10 MiB; shared or restricted macros cannot be uploaded.
Condition Tree
Narrows when a trigger fires with AND / OR groups and NOT. A condition that cannot be read, or is not supported, counts as unknown: it never counts as satisfied and NOT cannot turn it into true, although another condition that holds in an OR group can still fire the trigger.
Humanization
Gesture variation you switch between off, low, medium and high from the control panel while a macro runs.
Logic Workspace
A flow editor where you wire blocks together with cables on a canvas. Conditions and Dialog answers each take their own branch, and every node has its own test, settings and delete actions. It opens from the control panel or the macro rail on the Home screen.

See: Logic Workspace guide

Macro
A unit of automation that runs on Macro Handler. Can be a chain of visual blocks, a Lua script, or a mix of the two.
Macro Transfer
A Premium feature that privately sends one signed macro of up to 10 MiB to one person by verified Google account email. Sender ownership, size and hashes are verified before the recipient imports it, and only one outgoing transfer can be pending at a time.
MH-AI
Macro Handler’s assistant. It can review the active macro and propose changes for the Code, No-Code or Logic target; only a proposal you explicitly approve is applied, and it is rejected if the project changed in the meantime.
My Agent RoutineNewv1.0.51
A routine built from Agent Detect targets that takes over repetitive tap work once it is rehearsed and approved. Before every tap the Agent finds the target again on a fresh screen frame and checks the result; it never replays recorded coordinates.

See: Guides > My Agent Routine

Overlay
The floating control panel that stays on top of other apps. It starts, pauses and stops the macro and opens the editors, MH-AI and the tools. Requires the Display Over Apps permission.
Premium
The paid plan, bought through Google Play. On the free plan macros run in short sessions; Premium runs them without interruption, 24/7, on up to three approved devices, and adds private macro sharing, import and export, Cloud Vault and Macro Transfer.

See: Pricing

Screen guide
The point, region and swipe markers drawn over the screen while you set up visual automation. Screen guides shows or hides them all, and each block also has its own Block screen guide toggle. Hiding a guide never deletes its saved coordinates.
Trigger
A rule in Macro Settings that starts a macro for you: a daily time or cron, an interval, app and notification events, battery, charger, screen, volume key, broadcast or remote trigger. App launch opens the control panel and waits for you to press Play; every other trigger starts the macro on its own.

See: Guides > Triggers and conditions

Visual Builder
The no-code macro authoring surface, opened in the app as the No-Code Workspace. You build a macro as a chain of blocks picked from categories, without writing code.

Work Area
The area of the screen a macro works in, plus its reference profile: the resolution, DPI and orientation of the screen it was written on. Adapt macro to this device moves coordinates to a new screen; Verify work area walks through every region the macro uses.

See: Guides > Running on another device

Runtime

Cutover
The state where the Lua 5.4.8 native runtime has passed all acceptance gates required to become the production default.
Lua 5.4.8 Native Runtime
The new native Lua interpreter that will run via JNI. Remains experimental until the cutover gate passes; the 800+ API claim applies to the default launch runtime.
LuAJ
Macro Handler's default launch Lua runtime. A Java-based, sandboxed interpreter that follows the Lua 5.2 syntax baseline.
Sandbox
The security layer that restricts system calls while a Lua script runs. Calls such as require, loadstring, debug, and os.execute are blocked.

See: Sandbox Policy

Lua API

Asset
A registered resource (image, text, color) used as a target in region scans. Invoked as Asset.image("name").
FindParam
A parameter builder for Region searches. Lets you tune method, scale, case sensitivity, mode, and similar fields.
Hud
An on-screen display panel. Use Hud:show("text") to surface live information to the user while the macro runs.
mScore
Match score (0-1). 1.0 is a perfect match; in practice the 0.85-0.98 range is considered reliable.
pcall
Lua's "protected call". Runs a function and, if it raises, returns an (ok, result/err) tuple instead of stopping the script. The standard error-handling pattern in production macros.
quickTap
A shortcut function for a single tap. Usually called as quickTap(point) or quickTap(region:find(...)).
Region
The screen area to scan. Defined with Region(x, y, w, h) or Region() with no args to use the whole screen.
Snap
The singleton that captures a screenshot and feeds subsequent Region scans. Manually refreshed via Snap.screenRefresh().

Visual Builder

Background movementNewv1.0.51
Touch and Swipe, including a Swipe with extra paths, can keep a finger moving in the background while the next blocks run. The Touch Break block releases the active touch points.
Block
A visual card that represents one action in the No-Code Workspace. Blocks are grouped into the search, action, flow, system, touch, data and advanced categories.

Breakpoint
A marker on a block. With Debug Mode on in the No-Code Workspace, the marked block is highlighted as it runs; with Debug Mode off the marker stays saved but has no effect.
Dialog
A block that shows a configurable form while the macro runs and passes the submitted field values to the macro. Its fields can feed other blocks through the lightbulb.
Event State
A block that enables, disables, toggles or resets a target block or group while the macro runs.
Group / Call Group
You collect repeated steps in a group; the Call Group block runs a saved group and can store the value it returns.
Inline Expression
A small expression written inside a block parameter using the {{var}} syntax. Supports variable reads + basic math only; constrained by the sandbox.
Lightbulb (value binding)
The button next to a field that accepts a binding. {x} picks a number, {t} a text and {r} any runtime value: a project variable, an earlier block’s output or a Dialog field. An amber bulb means the typed value is used; a bulb in the block’s colour means a source is bound; × removes the binding.

See: Guides > Value binding with the lightbulb

Magic Text
A token picker that inserts live values into no-code text fields: screen, device, time, clipboard, trigger event, runtime and random values. The token is inserted as {{ mh.token("id") }} and expanded to the real value at runtime.
Measurement Decision
A block that reads the measurements search blocks such as Image, Color or Text record when Measure position and size is on (where the target sits inside its search region, how big it is and where the region is empty) and turns them into a decision plus a direction. A tap or swipe can use that answer with Take it from the decision instead of a fixed point. A source that stops measuring, or is deleted, makes the block fail rather than guess.

See: Block guide > Measurement Decision

Random rangeNewv1.0.51
Two endpoints given to a number field with bulb → Random, for example 1000 – 3000 ms. The value is drawn once per block call and keeps the field’s unit and limits; for points and regions each axis is drawn separately.
Replay / MH Smart Replay
Replay plays a gesture sequence recorded with Record gestures on the control panel. MH Smart Replay first finds its visual anchor on screen before playing.
Startup Dialog
The macro-start Dialog: the form you build in the workspace’s Dialog section, separate from the DIALOG block. With the eye icon in the section header on (Show dialog when macro starts), the form opens as the macro starts so the person running it can choose values such as a wait time or a target; the submitted values become the fields’ new defaults, so the form opens with them the next time. With the eye off the form is skipped and the fields produce their editor defaults.

See: Block guide > Dialog (DIALOG); use the DIALOG block to open a form mid-run

Time/Repeat gateNewv1.0.51
A block that alternates True and False phases by visit count or elapsed time.
Workflow CycleNewv1.0.51
A block that runs exactly one workflow group per call: in order, at random, or until a completion marker lets the next call move on.

Detection

Agent DetectNewv1.0.51
A block that finds on-screen targets resembling the examples you marked in reference screenshots and tracks them from frame to frame. It compares shape, colour, texture and, when available, an on-device image model; it does not understand the game or its rules. Recognition runs on the device and offline. The references are stored on the device and travel in the package when you send the macro to a selected account, export it as ZIP or back it up to the Cloud Macro Vault, but not in a public publication (Privacy Policy 3.6).
CalibrationNewv1.0.51
Measuring how a block behaves on your screen before its results are trusted. In Navigation, Calibrate movement moves the character in short joystick steps in clear space and measures how far the player marker travels on the reference map; it can also run each time the macro starts. Agent Detect tunes its model check to your references when you save them and tells you when a reference needs fixing first.
Color Cluster
A check for whether a region contains enough pixels (a cluster) of a target color. Ideal for UI state detection.
Corridor (Navigation)Newv1.0.51
In Navigation, the allowed deviation on either side of the route, entered in reference-map pixels in Control settings. When the player leaves the Warning corridor, the block switches to correcting (CORRECTING) and steers the player back toward the route. When the measured position, including its measurement uncertainty, reaches the Hard corridor, the joystick is released and the block stops with the OFF_ROUTE state. The Hard corridor must be wider than the Warning corridor.

See: Navigation

Cut-out maskNewv1.0.51
The transparent areas you cut out of a reference image with the Cut out tool in the image editor. Paint with Remove to make pixels transparent and Restore to bring them back; Flat colour removes a plain background that touches the edge. Image matching then compares only the visible object and keeps the click point inside it. For Agent Detect targets, Cut out in the Silhouette section does the same job.
ML Kit
Google's on-device machine-learning library. Macro Handler uses the bundled ML Kit recognizer modules for Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Devanagari OCR families; Arabic and Cyrillic use bundled Tesseract data.
NavigationNewv1.0.51
A block that follows an ordered route using a reference map and the measured player position. You select the map area, the player marker and the joystick, draw the route and calibrate movement.
OCR
Optical Character Recognition. Reads text from the screen. Macro Handler uses ML Kit (Latin/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Devanagari) + Tesseract (Arabic, Cyrillic).
Reference setNewv1.0.51
The reference screenshots an Agent Detect block saves under one name, together with the target examples you boxed in them. The Dialog field Agent Detect references can pick a saved set, and My Agent Routine targets are Agent Detect blocks taught with these sets. When you send the macro to an account, export it as ZIP or back it up to the Cloud Macro Vault, only the sets the macro uses go into the package.

See: Agent Detect, My Agent Routine

Template Match
Searching for a small image "template" inside a larger region. Uses OpenCV TM_CCOEFF_NORMED + NEON SIMD + DPI scaling.
Tesseract
An open-source OCR engine. Ships in Macro Handler with Arabic and Cyrillic traineddata for those OCR families.
Visual Target
A block that identifies one learned target across multiple views, follows its position and finds it again after a temporary loss.
