How To Call It
Ui is a global table: call its functions with a dot (Ui.<method>(...)), not a colon.
Finds an element in the accessibility tree with a selector such as { text = ... }; nil when none matches.
Documented for app version 1.0.51Updated:
Ui is a global table: call its functions with a dot (Ui.<method>(...)), not a colon.
In automation flow, chain actions with short wait() intervals and use requestStop() or controlled retry on failure paths.
Required: selector. Returns a Lua table, or nil.
It works best together with wait(), Point, SwipeParam, ClickParam, and sometimes a Region result.
The snippet below is a starter pattern that can be applied directly in runtime flow.
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })From foundation to combined usage, each level is provided as a separate code block so you can copy the level you need and adapt it directly.
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })local stepOk = true
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })
if stepOk then
wait(200)
endlocal ok, err = pcall(function()
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })
end)
if not ok then
print("API step failed: Ui.findNode: " .. tostring(err))
requestStop()
end-- In automation flow, chain actions with short wait() intervals and use requestStop() or controlled retry on failure paths.
local function run_findnode_step()
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })
end
local ok, err = pcall(run_findnode_step)
if not ok then
toast("Step failed")
print(err)
endlocal target = Point(540, 960)
quickTap(target)
wait(250)
local result = Ui.findNode({ text = "Settings" })
wait(250)
print("Automation chain completed")
